I truly hope this finds you well.
I see you there feeling fairly lost. Maybe confused.
I see you working so incredibly hard and ready to give up. Don’t. Please, don’t.
I see you.
The world sees you.
I also see every ounce of beauty that shines from your skin.
I see every movement you make as unique as the next.
I see your strength and grace as you work hard toward your goals.
I see how smart you are.
You are truly an intelligent and strong young woman.
You have so much to offer.
Your place will find you.
I promise it will.
Please do not run away from this journey.
Your flag shall not be raised in defeat; you are not done here.
You are onto something amazing.
I know you don’t see these things that I see in you.
Just wait. I know.
I also see where you hold your darkness like a baby blanket. It’s comfortable, that I also know.
I see that door you open when you make a mistake. The same door. Never a new one.
I see where you’ve made room for self doubt.
I see that place you want go when you don’t think you will find your way.
And I see the mask you try to hide behind.
But that mask doesn’t fool me.
I’ve been there.
I’ve lived that.
I’ve been you in so many ways.
You can’t fool me because all I see is your gorgeous light shining through that mask. All I see is your potential for greatness. I see the other doors all around you just waiting to be opened. They’re all unlocked, in case you were worried they wouldn’t open.
I truly see all that you will become.
I see your past.
I see your present.
I see well into your future.
So trust me when I say: no matter what you do to try to dim that brilliant light of yours, it will never stop glowing.
No matter the terrors, the fights or frights, or the mishaps, your light will always shine so much brighter than you ever thought would be seen.
And I hope to be there to show you just how bright it can be.
I hope to guide you with my light just like someone did for me.
And someday, not too, too long from now, you will be where I am.
Someday, you will see a light just as I have seen.
And someday, you will guide that light.
And we will all shine together.
